Dangers in the form of insects, snakes, bears, lightning, flash floods, rugged terrain, and, is certain months, sudden cold temperatures can spoil a backcountry trip. Using common sense will reduces one's chances of falling victim to the backcountry's perils more often than not. Folks with little backcountry experience should consult backpacking guides, survival guides, and experienced backcountry anglers for information. Follow backcountry rules and always be mindful of your surroundings. Take a friend with you to the backcountry so that you will have someone that can help or go for help if you suffer injury. Besides, it is nice to have someone around for the fellowship and to take a good picture of you holding up that nice backcountry trout that you might catch.TJustinGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07958344100654844212noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3803918010290644732.post-33732614833677408482008-07-01T09:29:00.000-04:002008-07-01T09:29:00.000-04:00I will enable rss as soon as i figure out how, sor...I will enable rss as soon as i figure out how, sorry i haven't messed around with this much.Craighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17818725430427932324noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3803918010290644732.post-57215993613715460812008-06-28T23:56:00.000-04:002008-06-28T23:56:00.000-04:00Hi, nice blog. NC has more streams, more backcountry destinations, and fewer people. In fact, the NC side has so many storied places to wet a line that planning a trip there is an adventure in itself.TJustinGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07958344100654844212noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3803918010290644732.post-22710916173456647542008-06-18T20:05:00.000-04:002008-06-18T20:05:00.000-04:00The TN side definitely sees alot of pressure, howe...The TN side definitely sees alot of pressure, however there are some places to find some solitude if you are willing to hike and put in some time.
